What DateSteady is
A calm place to meet people who are also dating again. You read one profile at a time, see what has been checked, and say hello when you are ready. It works in your web browser on a phone, tablet or computer.
What it is not
There is no swiping, no countdown, and no pressure to answer within the minute. Other members do not see your phone number unless you share it, and we do not sell your information.
How a first week goes
You join for free, confirm your phone and email, and answer a short questionnaire about your values and how you live. Then you look around at your own pace. You can add a voice or video greeting to your profile, so people hear you before they write.

On DateSteady, trust is not a single badge. It is a list you can read. Every profile shows what has been checked, added together into a public Trust Score you see before you say hello.

Every profile shows a public Trust Score out of 100. It goes up as a member completes the checks below and fills out their profile. Phone and age are required of everyone, so they show as Required and add no points. You see it on every profile before you say hello, and everyone sees yours. These are safeguards, not guarantees, and we say so plainly.
How a score adds up
Phone
Confirmed by a text code. Nobody can like or send a message until their phone is confirmed.
Confirmed by a link we send. Confirming it is optional, and it counts toward the Trust Score.
Age
Everyone gives their date of birth. You must be 18 or older to join. Where the law requires it, a third-party age check applies.
Photos
Screened automatically when they are uploaded. Anything that does not pass is held for review before it appears on a profile.
Selfie badge
Optional. A live selfie is compared with the profile photo. The badge shows a live selfie taken in the app was compared with the profile photo.
A friend can vouch
Optional. A member asks someone who knows them to write a few words. The vouch appears on the profile, and the Trust Score goes up.
Location
Optional. We confirm the area a member says they live in, so “nearby” means nearby. Completing it raises the Trust Score.
Voice greeting
Optional. Record a short hello, up to thirty seconds. Hearing a voice tells you more than a photo does, and it takes less nerve than going on camera. Completing it raises your Trust Score.
Video greeting
Optional. A short hello on camera, so people can put a face to the name before they meet. Completing it raises your Trust Score.
A complete profile counts too: a completed questionnaire, a full profile, and three or more photos.
Written messages are checked before they reach you. The most harmful ones are held for review instead of delivered, so you can take your time and feel at ease.
These are safeguards, not guarantees. A selfie badge shows a live selfie was compared with the profile photo, not who someone is, and no check can rule out every misrepresentation. We do not run criminal background checks.
What it costs, plainly
Free to join. VIP is $17.99 USD a month. That is the whole price list: one paid plan, no add-ons, no longer packages.
Your VIP membership renews automatically every month, at the price that applies at the time, until you cancel. The price today is $17.99 USD a month. If we change the price, we will tell you in advance by email or a notice in your account, and you can cancel before the next renewal if you do not want to pay the new price. You can cancel any time in your account settings.
